Financial Woes of Schools
Where do children spend the majority of their young lives? In school! How sad that we’ve had to cut back so much on the educational system! Our children are our future, they are the next leaders of tomorrow! If we reduce their education to just political agenda and treat it as a stock option in which we can pull our money out of, what kinds of leaders are we expecting to raise?
Teachers are under pressure to meet testing standards, parents are constantly buying even the simplest of school supplies, and the students are the ones that are losing out!
Schools have some of the worst grant proposals because they don’t have grant writers and they recruit parent volunteers who end up writing an emotional paper. Grant writing is technical, not emotional. And most schools are unaware of all the funding that’s out there!
I joined a friend, Beth P.F., in her quest to aid the public schools in her community and we have started a non-profit. She is a Master Composter and an educator. Our vision is to educate schools on recycing, composting, creating wildlife habitats and edible gardens. This page is for anyone who is advocating for a school to include environmental programs or to find financial resources.
The sub pages at the bottom of this page will be updated constantly with resources pages. The newest added resource will be at the top of the page.

[...] If you are stuck or need help and don’t know where to start or don’t have the funds, do some research or seek out those who can research. The trick with internet researching is cross-referencing and using keywords that are similar to uncover hidden gems. There are so many resources out there for planning tools, finding funds and grants, and even state-approved curricula to relieve teachers from having to create new teaching materials. In an effort to educate and propel schools and parents to foster green programs, I have created a page of resources. [...]
